ST. GERMAIN – By strong public request, this year’s Vilas County Fish and Wildlife Spring Hearings and Annual Conservation Congress meeting is moving to larger quarters at the St. Germain Elementary School on STH 70. The old meeting place was too small for the growing crowd of people attending this annual event.
The spring hearings will be held this year on April 12 at 7 p.m.. The annual hearings give sports men and women an opportunity to provide input on potential fishing, hunting, trapping rules and other outdoor recreation activities in Wisconsin. Annual congress meetings, held after the DNR’s rules hearings, give people a chance to comment on congress proposals and recommendations. In addition, people in attendance elect representatives to the congress, which advises the state Natural Resources Board.
